Best Homemade Anti-Aging Serum

Making your own anti-aging serum recipes at home is simple and will save you time and money! For me, it can be overwhelming walking through the skincare aisle at the store or even searching for products online.

Wait; How can I choose? Because, ofcourse there are so many options! Being a natural gal, I usually look for something that says “natural” or “organic.” Sometimes the “natural” products still have ingredients I can’t pronounce, so I end up going to an African store close to my home and purchase the organic ingredients and make my own skincare products at home.

That way it saves me money and I get to know what exactly I put on my skin. Works for me! Now that I am in my 30´s, I am starting to look for products that say “anti-aging.” I came up with this homemade anti-aging serum using organic almond oil, vitamin e oil and all-natural ingredients, and I decided to share with you!

If you are looking for a simple and natural way of taking care of your face while preventing the appearance of fine lines, you should make this easy DIY face serum recipe. It’s as easy as blending organic organ oil and vitamin e oil plus orange and lemon all together.

Many expensive cosmetic lines produce what they call a Vitamin C serum – a concentrated and usually hydrating formulation for the skin. With oranges and a few simple ingredients, you can bring the benefits of a Vitamin C serum to your skin right at home.

What Is Vitamin C And How Does It Work?

Vitamin C, for those unfamiliar with the term, is an excellent anti-oxidant that aids in the creation of collagen, which results in beautiful skin and helps keep wrinkles at bay. When applied regularly, vitamins C and E can help to prevent the damage caused by the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays.

Why Vitamin C?

Vitamin C works in various ways that are beneficial to the skin. As yet, the research is ongoing, but some results suggest a number of benefits.

  • Vitamin C is an antioxidant. That means that it helps to protect cells from damaging free radicals, which can be caused by excessive sun exposure.

  • The body uses Vitamin C to promote the production of collagen, which keeps the skin elastic.

  • Repairs some of the damage to the skin that may have been caused by the sun’s ultraviolet radiation.

  • Vitamin C may help to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation.

  • Some research even suggests it can slow the signs of aging.

  • Creates the appearance that your skin is glowing.

You are well aware, as a woman, that your skin needs moisture as well as protection from the sun.

Make it a routine to use vitamin C serum in order to maintain the youthful appearance of your skin.

How To Make Vitamin C Serum At Home With Orange And Lemon

To remedy this, we shall prepare something at home that is both fresh and effective. Yes, you can make your homemade  vitamin C serum with orange and lemon at home. We will manufacture a very tiny batch that will last no more than 2 weeks and be completely free of any fillers or extraneous components. First and foremost, remember to use it exclusively at night. As soon as your skin becomes accustomed to it, you may want to start using it during the day as well.

However, you should always follow up with decent sunscreen because vitamin C makes your skin photosensitive. I find it more convenient to utilize it solely at night.

What You Will Need

  • Half orange
  • Half lemon
  • 2 teaspoons of organic argan oil
  • 3 teaspoons of Vitamin E oil
  • A glass bottle with airtight lid

To Make

Firstly, in a bowl, rinse lemon and orange with baking soda and water.

Cut the orange and lemon into halves and cut the two into small pieces.

In a mixer put both the lemon and orange pieces and grind them until smooth.

Use a cheesecloth to strain.

In a separate clean bowl, add 5 tablespoons of lemon and orange puree, add 2 teaspoons of organic Argan oil, add 3 teaspoons of vitamin E oil.

Mix well.

Put the mixture into a clean glass storage container with airtight lid.

To Use

Before applying this serum, wash your face and then apply this all over your face and neck. Gently massage it for two minutes.

Leave it overnight and rinse it with normal water.

Why Organic Argan Oil?

Argan oil is rich in antioxidants that help protect against environmental damage, like polyphenols and vitamin E. This vitamin is well loved in skincare for its anti-aging and skin softening properties. Both help scavenge free radicals, helping to maintain skin´s youthfulness.

Why Vitamin E Oil?

Vitamin E oil may have various benefits for the skin, especially in people with dry and itchy skin, psoriasis, and eczema. It may also help prevent wrinkles, heal wounds, and make scars less visible.

Vitamin E oil is derived from vitamin E and can be applied directly to the skin, or added to lotions, creams, and gels. It is available for purchase in many health food stores and online.

Dry skin tends to look more wrinkled than well-moisturized skin. The moisturizing benefits of vitamin E oil may help the skin look more youthful and less wrinkled.

Is vitamin e oil good for anti-aging?

Vitamin E oil is great for the skin and can help improve the appearance of the skin. It is a powerful antioxidant, and when applied topically to the skin, it can block free radicals.

Vitamin E oil can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and prematurely aged skin. It works best when used consistently, which is why I like to add it to my anti-aging face serum.

How to use anti-aging face serum?

Place a small amount of anti-aging face serum in the palm of your hand and massage it into the face. Focus on trouble areas, but be sure not to get too close to the eyes.

Face serums should be applied to the skin after you use your face cleanser and toner.

If you prefer to use a separate face moisturizer, you can apply that over the facial serum.

How long does face serum last?

This face serum will last for 14 days when stored properly but ofcourse you can add some preservative if you want it to last longer than that.

Store in an airtight glass bottle for best results and it should be fine.

How often should I use face serum?

It is best to use this anti-aging face serum twice daily, once in the morning after you wash your face and once at night before bed.
