Things needed:

  • Chia seeds – 3 tablespoons
  • Rose water – 1 cup
  • A muslin cloth
  • An empty and clean bottle

To Make:

  • In a grinder, grind Chia seeds to make its powder
  • Transfer the Chia seeds powder to a sauce pan
  • Add rose water
  • Mix both of them using a spoon
  • Make sure to mix it properly, so that there are no lumps
  • If you feel the mixture is too thick, you can add little more rose water
  • Now place the sauce on low heat
  • Stir continuously and cook for about 12 minutes on low heat
  • After 12 minutes, let the mixture cool
  • Transfer the mixture to muslin cloth
  • Strain all the extract in a bowl
  • Now again strain it using a sieve
  • Pour the toner in a bottle

Your homemade Chia seeds facial toner is ready.

To use

Take a cotton pad, pour some toner on it and apply it all over your face.

The best time to use a toner is right after washing your face with a cleanser. You can use this toner in the morning and night before sleeping.

As a face mask.

Things needed:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

To Make:

  • Soak Chia seeds in water for 15 to 20 minutes
  • Strain the solution and add 1 teaspoon of honey and olive oil to it. Mix the ingredients well.

To Use:

Gently massage the paste on your face and let it sit for around 20 to 30 seconds. Rinse your face with Lukewarm water, and follow it up by washing your face with cold water to close pores.

As smoothie

Boost the nutritional value of your smoothies by adding a tablespoon of Chia seeds. They will not only provide a subtle crunch but also enhance the texture and thickness of your smoothie.

Things needed:

  • Frozen fruit – Mix of mango, strawberries and blue berries.
  • Banana – Fresh is best, but frozen will work too ( you may need a little extra liquid). Sub the banana with 1/2 cup of non-dairy yogurt.
  • Plant milk – coconut milk, almond milk, oat, soy, cashew will be great.
  • Chia seeds – Both black and white Chia seeds can be used.

To Make:

  • Add the frozen fruit, banana, non-dairy milk, and Chia seeds to the blender cup and blend until smooth.
